I am an RN, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and a mother of 3 delightful “babies”, who happen to be 22, 19, and 17 years old :)
I love sunshine, children, and Arizona. I find joy in hiking, bike riding, yoga, dancing, singing, helping moms feed their babies, and celebrating life.
My nursing career began 20 years ago. I fell in love with my job as a labor & delivery, postpartum, and nursery RN at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in the White Mountains of Arizona. I quickly discovered a particular passion for helping families with breastfeeding.
So, I focused on obtaining the extensive clinical experience and education required to become an IBCLC, and earned my license in 2008. This allowed me to specialize in providing compassionate guidance and education for families & babies throughout their entire breastfeeding journey. I taught prenatal childbirth and newborn care classes. I made daily rounds over a period of 5 years, visiting with virtually every breastfeeding mother who gave birth at Summit Healthcare during that time.
I provided continuing care to moms and babies after their discharge from the hospital, through outpatient consultations and mom support group meetings. I relocated west of Phoenix, AZ in 2015. I am now in private practice, offering private lactation consultations to clients in the comfort of their own homes in the west valley, and in my home office in Goodyear. I consider it a true honor, and a privilege to be a small part of such a precious time in a family’s life.
